About Nicholas Jendzjowsky, PhD.
Throughout my academic training, I was fascinated by the interplay between autonomic reflexes and cardiorespiratory function. My scientific curiosity has moved me towards respiratory chemosensitivity and the interplay between inflammation and neuronal function.
My primary research interests lie with the mechanism(s) by which reflex driven autonomic efferent projections regulate immunity. I am interested in the development of neuronal sensing of inflammatory signals and, environmental stimuli which stimulate reflex mediated changes to lung function and immunity. Ultimately, my goal is to understand how these basic neuro-immune controlling mechanisms are regulated across a spectrum of health.
We Are Interested In How The Sensory And Autonomic Nervous Systems Regulate Immunity.
